In my time as an editor at Research Media, I oversaw the production of a range of magazines in our International Innovation series. In the process, I covered everything from dengue fever to fuel cells, and interviewed big-hitters from the likes of the European Commission and the United Nations.
Example of a spread from a typical issue – in this case our tropical disease special – including an infographic and interview with a researcher, both written by me.
Left – An interview I conducted with Olivier Dubois, Senior Natural Resources Officer (Energy) at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
Right – Another interview, this time with Dr Eric Marcotte, an associate director at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
An article I wrote for the last issue that I edited, A renewable future. It concerns a research project underway at the National Chung Hsing University in Taiwan to develop biomimetic processes for the production of biohydrogen based on termites.
